Pressure range

The TruStability ® Standard Precision Silicon Ceramics (SSC) series are piezoresistive silicon pressure sensors that provide a proportional analog or digital output to provide pressure readings over a specified full-scale pressure span and temperature range.

The SSC series is capable of performing comprehensive calibration and temperature compensation for sensor null, sensitivity, temperature coefficient, and nonlinearity using an application specific integrated circuit (ASIC) on the board. Update calibrated analog and digital output values at rates of approximately 1 kHz and 2 kHz, respectively.

The SSC series is calibrated over a temperature range of minus 20 ° C to 85 ° C [minus 4 ° F to 185 ° F]. This sensor is characterized by operation from a single supply of 3.3 Vdc or 5.0 Vdc.

These sensors can measure absolute, gauge or differential pressure. Absolute pressure sensors use vacuum pressure as an internal reference value and have an output value proportional to the absolute pressure. Gauge pressure sensors take atmospheric pressure as a reference and provide an output value proportional to the difference in atmospheric pressure. Differential pressure sensors can measure pressure between two pressure ports.

TruStability ® pressure sensors are designed to work with non-corrosive and non-ionic gases, such as air and other dry gases. A wide range of options extends the performance of these sensors to pressures above 40 mbar, 4 kPa, 20 inH2O.
